DUDE! So much to say about the show last night...but to keep it brief, here are some shout outs:

-Diplo...loved *you* dancing your ass off...I hope you post your tour mix...had I been any closer my body would have crumbled from your pounding rolling bass lines...thanks for visiting...come back again soon!

-To my french duo friends...I'll be honest...I wasn't expecting much...but you blew me away...my dawgs are raw from dancing to your fuzzy hypnotic beats...au revoir!

-Hey Eric...it's cool man, we've all been there...I'm not taking it personally...you just took one too many tokes...my shit is strong I *warned* you...and Justice had you in a stranglehold...hope you made it back to the mothership ok.

Nuff said...now onto the music portion of this broadcast...

Since I was in electro heaven last night I was thinking about who their influences were aside from the obvious Daft Punk...one group came to mind and that was none other than those crazy kids out of my beloved Brooklyn, Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner...better known as Fischerspooner. So yes I am well aware that they have only been around since 1998...but they have certainly had a huge impact in the last 10 years on many many folks! Everyone pays homage by remixing and sampling their songs. You hear it on the dance floor all the time...hello James Murphy!!!

So I am going to begin by giving you my favorite song of theirs...you should download this if you don't have it already...sounds really good with headphones...get ready to dance...oh and if you've never seen a Fischerspooner show...you're missing out...energy energy energy...the stage is like a carnival on crack...wait that's kind of redundant...seriously one huge brain twisting cluster fuck...so much fun! Put on your seatbelts, you're in for a heart-pounding ride!!

The next track is a remix by our friend James Murphy...ala DFA...For those of you who are horrible with names, James Murphy is the front man for LCD Soundsystem and DFA...and of course he produces for so many peeps and DJs under his own name. He did a great new version of Emerge...oh yeah that's the song above...check it:
