Two posts in one day? WHAT? Yeah well I figured there's a good chance I won't be posting much towards the end of the week given my impending visitor...ah no asses, one of my bffs is gonna be here as I mentioned two posts ago and our schedule is full!
As I was driving home today a song came on my ipod and it was someone who I will talk about here in sec...but it dawned on me I had yet to talk about the oh so talented lady mcs I've been diggin' lots. Hello? So here you go. I will try not to be as verbose as my last post. I was blowin' steam sorry.
Let's start with my latest infatuation Santogold. A resident queen of Brooklyn, protege of super producer Switch, all around brilliant lady. Some people call her the next M.I.A. I disagree. Here is her song called "L.E.S. Artistes" remixed by someone close to my heart of course, the one and only XXXChange (known for all his hard work with Spank Rock but he produces pretty much everyones stuff) P.S. If you have Itunes please note that I've posted the actual lyrics in of course the lyrics section :) In case you don't know how to get there, right click on the song once you've imported it and the first item on the drop down menu says "Get Info". Click on that and then you will see all different tabs one says lyrics...yeah...oh and for future knowledge this is where I put the set lists for the mixes I've been posting. Since we mentioned M.I.A. and since most of you know about her already I am just giving you this great mix she did with Diplo...of course. Essentially, it's a lot of her songs, plus tracks you've never heard remixed. My favorite track is called "URAQT"...Diplo samples the beginning of the theme to Sanford and Son. It's pretty tight.

In my earlier post I spoke of none other than Kid Sister. She's from Chi-Town. She's hot on the mic and hot in person. I had the privilege of standing not too far from her when she was doing a set at the American Museum of Natural History...you know the show where Kanye had to come and ruin it all with his surprise visit...kidding...it was actually pretty amazing to see the entire place lose their shit when he jumped on stage. In any case, since you will hear her get sampled so much on a lot of these mixes, I am posting a Ghislain Poirier remix of her song "Let it Bang". Hot, hot stuff!!

The next lady is truly the queen of b'more. She should need no introduction but since she's such a special lady, I'll do it...this would be Amanda Blank. She is all of 24...or very close to it. This lady can spit like no other chick in the buiz and her dirty dirty raps roll off her tongue like panties flying off a whore on dollar day! She is of course the apple of my eye as she's the apple of all things spank rock...and you know what...for those *few* of you who don't have *any* spank rock...please send me a separate email and I will load you up like a whore...oh I already said that...well I have it all so please hit me up. If indeed you are one of those people, the first track below is her signature track with them...that would be "Bump"...the track after is a solo that she did with the help of XXXChange...and lastly I added a track she did with Pase Rock called "Sexy MFer"(eli remix). She's pure genius and I hope one day I get to tell her that in person!
